M+P is organizing a "Course on road-tyre interaction". The course will introduce you in the field of road-tyre interaction and help you understand the tyre performance (in terms of noise, grip and rolling resistance) under various road conditions. Application of the SPERoN model to predict the acoustic performance of road surfaces will be part of the course. More information can be found on http://www.mp.nl/RTIcourse09.

Validation of the SPERoN model was presented to the scientific world at the NAG/DAGA international conference of acoustics in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

Validation and application of the SPERoN model to analysis, design and synthesis of noise reducing road surfaces as part of the DEUFRAKO project P2RN (Prediction and Propagation of Rolling Noise) was presented on the International P2RN Final Seminar at Technopole in Mulhouse, France.

SPERoN and the AOT have been presented at the PIARC SURF 2008 symposium on road pavement characteristics, held in Slovenia from 20 to 22 october 2008.

The SPERoN model has been validated within the framework of the German French joint project DEUFRAKO P2RN (Prediction and Propagation of Rolling Noise). The outcome of this project has been presented at the ACOUSTICS08 congress in Paris, France from June 29 to July 04 2008.

In the last five years IPG (the Dutch Noise Innovation Programme) has yielded a lot of knowledge, information and practical tools for source-oriented measures to reduce road traffic noise. The results were presented to international noise and asphalt experts in the context of a seminar. This seminar was held on June 17th and 18th 2008 in Zandvoort, The Netherlands. The SPERoN - AOT has been presented at this seminar as well. More information about this seminar can be found here.

The acoustic optimization tool (SPERoN - AOT) was introduced at the SILENCE training event in Bergisch Gladbach, Germany at May 28 and 29 2008. SILENCE is a 6th framework program from the European Union. The most advanced propagation model in the SPERoN - AOT was developed within this program. More information about the training event can be found here.
